Mrs. C.J. Lincoln was born Eudore Percival Knox on 26 Sept. 1849 at Van Buren, Ark. Her father, George W. Knox, was an early settler in Arkansas. Her mother, Eudora Rose Knox, was the daughter of Horace B. Rose, the founder of the town of Roseville on the Arkansas River. She had three sisters: Fanny Rose Knox (Mrs. Hugh Thomason), Georgia Lydia Knox (Mrs. W.L. Faber); and Martha "Mattie" Washington Knox (Mrs. Syme Hayman). Eudora Knox married Dr. C.J.
